About the Lecturer

Eldon Marks is a developer, a designer, a researcher and a dreamer: he designs, codes and builds software and loves doing it; he is an artist and expresses this talent in various creative ways; he is a researcher who is passionate about Interaction Design, inspired by Biomimetics and intrigued by Artificial Intelligence; he is a dreamer who believes that imagination is indeed more important than knowledge.

He completed his undergraduate Degree in Computer Science at the University of Guyana and pursued a Master’s Degree in Computer Science at Howard University, Washington D.C. At Howard he specialized in Artificial Intelligence and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2010. He now Lectures in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Guyana while working as a freelance web developer and software engineer. His freelance work ranges from simple web design to custom business intelligence systems.  His recent research endeavours involve prosody enriched dynamic text presentation, biologically inspired solutions for complex resource allocation problems and the viability of multicellular arrangements for fluid knowledge structures.
