Ms. Alicia Layne

About the Instructor

Ms. Alicia Layne has approximately 3 years of experience teaching within the Department of Computer Science at the University of Guyana. Her main areas of teaching relate to the mathematical foundations of computer science and software engineering. Ms. Layne has a BSc in Computer Science and is presently reading for her MSc in Information Systems at the University of Manchester, England.

Her primary research focuses on the development and use of Health Information Systems to effect sustainable change and development in transitional contexts. She also conducts research in the area of Gender and ICTs. Additionally, Ms. Layne has supported a number of undergraduate research projects in the areas of e-learning, m-health and augmented reality.
